The Electoral College is an example of our Founders' brilliance. They understood that a republic ruled entirely by its urban populations would be imbalanced and... unstable. Those who call for abolishing it are 1) un-American, and 2) political Kindergarteners. We Americans live in a constitutional republic, and if the Constitution goes, the republic will go next.

There is a reason why the Founders placed Free speech and Religion First; and the right to overthrow the Government Second.
The First Amendment is to pray, communicate and mobilize, the Second is to fight back, and even the Third "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law." When you analyze each Amendment, one could argue they are designed to lay out all the rights of revolution against a government when it has lost it's way. In time of war (even at home), the government does not have a right to enter your home, seize your belongings OR make you admit to being a revolutionist (5th Amendment). The Foundering Fathers were truly amazing.

Lar of Galen...So, our border guards are doing just what the Nazis did? You mean the Holocaust was the result of the Third Reich arresting Jews who were trying to illegally enter their country?? Lar of Galen...When BO was in charge, the media would tout "100,000 new jobs" (not mentioning how many were lost), and cook the unemployment rate by omitting people who just gave up looking for work out of frustration. Now we have more job openings than people to fill them. They bragged(!) about increases in the number of people on food stamps and welfare, and advertised these "benefits". "Come on people, not enough of you are being bums! Sign up for our 'free' stuff!!"
