Rudolph of Jerseyville...Governor Murphy wants a new tax (some call it the rain tax) to pay for cleaning up the salt runoff and fertilizer runoff that is occurring in New Jersey. This has been a problem since the state started using road salt and a brine solution to salt the roads in the winter time. So far this winter, the state of New Jersey has spent 38 million dollars on salt brine to coat the roads to prepare for winter storms. The winter isn't over!
Now instead of finding another alternative to the brine, or going back to sanding the roads as in years past, we salt and pay a tax to clean it up. How is this better for us and the environment? The reason given why sanding the roads was a problem is that a sand build up in gutters and storm drains by Spring. What is the cost of cleaning out gutters and storm drains as opposed to the salt and the cleanup - which requires a new tax.
If you have flown over New Jersey lately and observed the roadways, you would notice that the roads with the salt are as white as the snow-covered lawns. Why can't we get more intelligent people in the state legislature? Why can't we find better material for the governor's office? Have we gotten so materialistic that any multi-millionaire can buy his way into the governor's seat?

LAR OF GALEN...Technically, secession (as much as we like to talk about it down here) is a violation of the Divine Institution of Nationalism. Most of us swore to uphold the Constitution, and seceding would violate that oath. THE DAY MAY COME, though, that we have to make the same decision as the Founding Fathers of the US and the Texicans of 1835. The Federal government often ignores the Constitution, but its provisions have not yet been rescinded. In the 70s I thought we were going to have to fight a Russian invasion and civil war at the same time, but it didn't happen. Then, Reagan did.

We floated for quite a while on his good work, but sank again and came really close to going under with Obama. The Dems thought their twisted dreams had come true, and Hillary was going to put the stake in the evil white heart of capitalism. Then Trump overthrew their dreams, and the Dems are striving mightily to recapture the glory of BO's admin. If they succeed, and the 2nd Amendment (or the 1st, or 4th, or...) is thrown out, then we will be legit in throwing down. Be patient. Remember, God is in control. He might have another plan. The US has been very necessary in history, and will continue to be for our lifetimes and beyond. In the meantime, if you moved here after you retire, you'd already be on hand if stuff does hit the fan.

LAR OF GALEN...After wasting over 2 1/2 years and at least $25 million, the Mueller investigation looks to finally be wrapping up. So, the bipartisan House Intel Committee took a shot at it, and came up with nuthin. But wait, there's more! Adam Schiff (D - Calif) wants to launch a new, expanded search, saying the committee didn't dig deep enough or take long enough to look at all the "evidence" -- like the fact that Trump wanted to open a hotel in RUSSIA!! Trump stands in the way of their satanic plans, so they will keep going after him any way they can. If they can't "prove" he colluded with RUSSIA!!, they'll go after his income tax statements (???), his family's finances .... anything!!!!

LAR OF GALEN... In case you didn't already know, the "statistic" that "most weapons used in violent crimes in Mexico came from the US" was contrived. Most firearms are clearly marked by their manufacturer, so it is usually easy to determine where they were made. As part of "Fast And Furious", BO made sure that the Mexican authorities didn't bother to determine point of origin of weapons that weren't obviously made in the USA. Then, they launched "Operation Gun Walker" for the specific purpose of putting US-manufactured weapons in the hands of cartels and other criminals. They told the Border Patrol and ATF agents that the objective was to track "straw buyers" up the chain, but then ordered agents to hold back when weapons crossed the border, claiming that Mexican authorities would pick them up. Then the evidence came out in Agent Terry's death. In reality, most weapons in Mexican criminals' hands came from China via Cuba or South America.

A Day to Save Life or Destroy It?

From the beginning of time, God has always been straightforward in His communication with mankind — particularly when it comes to what is right and what is wrong. We see God’s first example of this simplicity when He created Adam and Eve. In the Garden of Eden God did not set up a complicated code of laws, or even a set of 10 commandments. He had just one law:

Don’t eat the apple!

While God’s law was simple and unambiguous, it was quickly complicated by the first couple. When Satan came slithering up to Eve in the form of a serpent to tempt her, Eve embellished God’s law. Eve complicated God’s simplicity by adding her own new requirement and interpretation:

Don’t eat the apple … or touch it!

From that day to this present one, man has continued to add to, embellish, interpret, and complicate God’s laws. We have attempted to “perfect” what cannot be perfected. By doing so, we have complicated what is simple. And we have altered what God established.

In our day, there is perhaps no greater example of man’s altering and complicating God’s simple and perfect law than in the battle for life.

The second major sin ever recorded by God in the Bible was the taking of an innocent life. We read in Genesis 4 that Cain killed Abel, his righteous brother. Since that day, man has been prematurely ending the most precious gift ever given to man: life.

God was so displeased with man’s evil actions that He “complicated” His original law and established 10 commandments. Amongst that list of 10 laws is this one simple command:

Thou shalt not kill!

Simple. Unambiguous. Direct.

Yet man has debated, argued, defined, redefined, and will continue to complicate a simple standard.

What is life? When does it begin? When does it end? Under what scenario is it right to end life?

While man confuses, Jesus, the Son of God, simplifies and uncomplicates. Man muddies. Jesus clarifies.

When Jesus walked the earth, He regularly confronted the leaders of His day, both political and religious. As He did, Jesus would dismantle the complicated systems that these leaders had built up. And when it came to life, Jesus could not have been more clear about the standard God established.

One day Jesus was confronted with the opportunity to heal a man. But doing so would have violated the complicated requirements that the Jewish leaders had established. These leaders had taken one of the original 10 commandments, “Keep the sabbath holy,” and they had built around that simple standard an entire laundry list of codes and requirements. By doing so, the elite “interpreted” what man could and couldn’t do.

But Jesus, the very Author of life, obliterated the complicated reasoning of the elite when He had this to say:

“Then he (Jesus) turned to his critics and asked, ‘Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?’ But they wouldn’t answer him.” —Mark 3:4

In one sentence, Jesus destroyed every argument, debate, and discussion about the worthiness of every child in the womb. And this is the question every politician, judge, activist, and expectant mommy and daddy in America should ask themselves:
