Lar of Galen...I saw Huckabee talking about this on Fox the other night. The phrase "Russian Hacking of the Election" is being used universally. As the article says, He stated that the media has people believing that the Russians hacked voting machines and altered the election. First off, no one has found any evidence that the Russians were involved in any way. Yes, they are constantly probing our cyber defenses, but the DNC leaks were the result of spoofing/phishing. And the "interference with the election process" is simply the fact that is exposed the collusion of the media with the DNC, and the absolute disdain the Democrats have for their "constituents".

Lar of Galen...I had to take cats in to the Vet yesterday, and caught part of a segment of Michael Berry. He was talking to someone who's name and other info I was too late to catch. The guy was apparently a lawyer, and he was talking about the effects on small businesses of raising the minimum wage and medical care. Michael asked why more corporations aren't active in the fight, since they employ more employees and would seem to be effected even more.
The guest speaker explained that large corporations like McDonald's don't want to take a public stance on such issues because they don't care. It is the franchise owners who are affected, not them. If the minimum wage goes up or health care costs increase, it is the owner of the local McDonald's that has to increase his price to cover the expense. If people get upset and contact the corporation, they can say "It wasn't us! The local franchise owner sets his own prices." So, why would they risk public ire by taking a stand against increases? And here's the kicker: The franchisee has to pay a set percentage to the franchiser. So, if the local McD's "makes more money" because of increased prices, the corporation gets more money without any further expense to them.
I had to pick up one of the cats that afternoon, and heard another lawyer type talking to Sean Hannity's sub (didn't get either name) about the Americans with Disabilities Act. You and I think that law was all about giving proper consideration to people with physical disadvantages. HAH!! As usual, it was really all about the government -- and lawyers -- making more money on the backs of small business owners (i.e. The Middle Class).
You see, it isn't just a matter of parking spaces or ramps -- and even those have to meet exacting details. The ADA has thousands of lines that regulate the height of mirrors from the floor, width of doors, even the angle water must come out of the fountain. And while full compliance with every single one of these regulations is almost impossible, placing small businesses in jeopardy of lawsuits and fines, it has created a cottage industry for "drive-by lawyers".
"Normally", a lawsuit under this law would come because some customer complained of an inconvenience. But in reality, lawyers who know what to look for report violations they observe just in "passing by". And the business owner can't simply correct the oversight. Nope. He not only risks being fined, but he has to pay the government to pay the lawyer for their "public service". In one local incident, a lawyer reported a convenience store because their handicap parking sign wasn't exactly as specified, and the space wasn't large enough for a van. Technically, he was right. BUT, he also reported violations inside the store -- violations that did not exist. So, not only was the lawyer not acting in behalf of an actual customer, he had never even gone inside. He just *gasp* made things up so he could charge more! I know. Hard to believe that a lawyer would behave in such an unethical manner.

AT THE WHITE HOUSE
One sunny day in 2017, an old man approached the White House on Pennsylvania Ave, where he had been sitting on a park bench.
He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton.”
The Marine replied, “Sir, Mrs. Clinton is not the president and doesn’t reside here.”
The old man said, “Okay“ and walked away.
The following day the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, “I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton.”

The Marine, understandably somewhat agitated at this point, said, “Sir, this is the third day in a row that you have asked to speak with Mrs. Clinton, and I have told you each time that Mrs. Clinton is not the President and does not reside here. Don’t you understand?”
The old man said, “Oh, I understand you just fine... I just love hearing you say it.”
With that the Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, “See you tomorrow, Sir.”

Pelosium: A major research institution has just announced the discovery of thedensest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224aassistant-deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311.These particles are held together by dark particles called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. The symbol of Pelosium is PU. Pelosium's mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes.
