Lar of Galen 19Aug18: And how about this: Once they find a job, stop the "assistance" because they are fully capable of taking care of themselves. BETTER YET: Stop all socialist programs, period. Caring for those who can't fend for themselves is supposed to be an act of (pardon my French) Christian charity. Forcing others to take care of those who won't take care of themselves is tyranny. Family, church, charities (in that order) are supposed to be the safety net of society, NOT an all-powerful government.

We cannot be a nation of laws if there are two sets of laws - one for normal people, and one for the elites. So either we are going to have laws and enforce them uniformly, or we are not. There can be no middle ground on this.
